Left Way Behind

I HAD NEVER HEARD of Tim LaHaye until a friend mentioned him in a letter with an introductory note. Then in the same week, I read "Who is Tim LaHaye?" by Tom Sine (September-October 2001). Probably my ignorance is due to my misspent youth. I was an Episcopalian. We were "too nice" to know of the likes of Tim LaHaye. Is it for my classist sins that knowledge of LaHaye has been visited upon me—twice in one week? If so I repent...twice. And kudos on a beautifully written article, "Getting the Story Right," by Kari Jo Verhulst. I must have done something right.
