A Brief History of Sojourners

What do you get for the magazine that has little and wants everything? Our computers don't work half the time, but we still have high hopes for the kingdom of God. For Sojourners' 30th birthday we took a little trip down memory lane. The highlights. The lowlights. And the candle lightes. Whether it was a vigil against torture, ten thousand points of light streaming toward the White House to pray for peace, or the solitary hope of the Easter vigil flame, Sojourners has tried to carry the torch-or tell the stories of those who are doing so, wherever they are found. Over the last 30 years, we have been on the front lines (with many of our readers) of movements for social and spiritual transformation. What do we want? "For everyone to live beneath their vine and fig tree in peace and unafraid" (and 100,000 subscribers). When do we want it? Now would be nice.
