YOUR MAGAZINE, to which I recently subscribed, is my first exposure to current events in more than 20 years, and my subscribing is the first "social action" I’ve taken in 53 years (well...that’s a little exaggerated, but not much). I continue my constitutionally inclined lifestyle of retired, solitary devotion. But now God seems to be calling me to peek out from under my rock. I do pray for our little planet, and I know that is no small thing. But you are helping enormously to direct my prayers from my "contemplative" place.

I understand that comments reported as abusive are reviewed by Sojourners staff and are subject to removal. Repeat offenders will be blocked from making further comments. (Proverbs 18:7)
