THANKS FOR THE excellent article "The Issue is Poverty" (March-April 1997). As someone who has worked in the inner city of Brooklyn for 35 years, I agree. Voices like those in the article must continue to join their voice with the voices of the organized poor.

I understand that comments reported as abusive are reviewed by Sojourners staff and are subject to removal. Repeat offenders will be blocked from making further comments. (Proverbs 18:7)
