Whatever Happened to the Common Good? The Role of Faith in the Upcoming Election

Jim Wallis will give a Saturday evening presentation titled, "Whatever Happened to the Common Good? The Role of Faith in the Upcoming Election" as part of the Conversations on Courage and Faith lectures series.  The event will include a wine & cheese pre-reception as well as a book signing. Jim will also serve as the guest preacher at the 9:15 a.m Sunday service at Christ Church Greeenwich.

As an extra treat, following Jim's sermon, Rev. Joy Carroll Wallis (Jim's wife) will give a lecture titled, "Vicar of Dibley to Baseball Mom."  Joy was one of the first women to be ordained in the Church of England, the inspiration behind the hit BBC sitcom The Vicar of Dibley, and author of The Woman Behind the Collar: The Pioneering Journey of an Episcopal Priest. The lecture starts at 10:10 a.m. and will conclude with a book signing.
 

All events are free and open to the public and are located at Christ Church Greenwich.  The Sat., Sept. 29th event, however, requires an RSVP since space is limited.  TO RSVP, please go to free-rsvp.com. Enter Event ID 1369, and password WALLIS. Click on the appropriate response. Each person must respond individually. There is no option to enter the number of guests attending. So if you respond only once, only one seat will be reserved for you. You will see a confirmation screen, but there is no receipt to save or print. Your name simply goes onto our master list, which we will have at the door.
