Interfaith Prayer Vigil to Reduce Gun Violence

April 11, 2013 - 11:30am - 12:30pm
Speaker: Jim Wallis, Michael McBride, David Saperstein, and other faith leaders

Just a few short months since the tragedy of the Sandy Hook Shooting in Newtown Connecticut our country has suffered an additional 3,300 gun deaths, yet leaders in Washington are refusing to enact sensible measures to curb this epidemic. Join religious leaders for a multi-faith prayer vigil to remember all those who have lost their lives and commemorate their deaths with crosses and other religious symbols on the National Mall and call for gun violence reduction legislation.

A display of 3000 crosses and other relgious symbols will be the backdrop of the vigil.
