The Common Good

G92 Immigration Conference

April 22, 2013 - 9:00am - 12:00pm
Speaker: Jim Wallis

On April 22, G92 will be on campus at Baylor University to present a day-long event called “Special Topics on Faith: Christians and Immigration.” The day will consist of workshops led by local and national speakers, as well as chapel services and a keynote address by SojournersJim Wallis. The chapel services, workshops, and keynote address will all be open to the general public.

The day will start with three 40-minute chapel services (9:05, 10:10 and 11:15 a.m.) where Jim Wallis will speak on the issue of immigration from a distinctly Christian perspective (each service will feature the same message). After the services conclude, Jim Wallis will be available at a luncheon with interested attendees for an informal lunch and Q&A session. The afternoon will continue with several workshops, including one led by Alex Nowrasteh of the Cato Institute. Alex Nowrasteh will address the economic issues regarding immigration.

Continue to check back here for more details regarding additional speakers and workshops! We look forward to seeing you there.
