Erika Jackson-Stokes
Erika Jackson-Stokes, a native of Baltimore, joined Sojourners in January of 2012. Her previous experience includes nonprofit and university administration. She received her bachelor’s in sociology from the University of Maryland at College Park and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity from Howard University School of Divinity in Washington, D.C. Her areas of passion and advocacy include political engagement, mental health education, and spiritual development.
Before joining Sojourners, Erika was relentless in her job search to find an organization that integrated faith with social issues. Her dreams came true when she walked into Sojourners and she continues to appreciate the unique and courageous gift of this organization. When Erika is not in the Sojourners office processing your generous donations, she enjoys taking advantage of D.C.’s culture and events, supporting public radio, and keeping up with the growing diversity of web-based series.
