Challenging the Church: An International Conference on Postcolonial Ministry, Episcopal Divinity School - Cambridge, MA
The Rev. Dr. Otis Moss III, Senior Pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, will be the featured speaker at the historical “Lyman Beecher Lectureship on Preaching,” at Yale Divinity School, October 22nd (4:00pm), and October 23rd and 24th (10:30am each day). The lectureship is offered to “a minister of the Gospel of any evangelical denomination who has been markedly successful in the special work of the Christian ministry.”
Established in 1871, this wonderful teaching opportunity has hosted such preaching giants as Samuel DeWitt Proctor, Walter Brueggeman, and Gardner C. Taylor. Come and be in the audience for the teaching and preaching of Rev. Moss, as he presents, in three parts, The Blue Note Gospel: Preaching the Prophetic Blues in a Post Soul World.

The Women and Girls Campaign Associate assists all aspects of Sojourners Women and Girls initiative by (a) implementing campaign strategy, (b) building and managing relationships with key coalitions, partner organizations, and individuals and (c) providing support on key communications components of the campaign, including press events, social media, blogging, and other writing projects as assigned. Priority areas include addressing domestic and sexual violence in the church and society; increasing and supporting women’s leadership in the church; and identifying ways for Sojourners to work with other organizations to end human trafficking across the globe.
